Okay so this will be my last post unless I have to post another blog for some reason.

I have really enjoyed posting blogs and reading every ones blogs, it has been very interesting.

 

Unfortunately I didn't finish the book before the deadline but I will continue reading it because it has been a very interesting book.  This is the only book (besides picture books) that I have enjoyed reading and probably the only book that I haven't put down because it was to boring. 

 

Sorry to disappoint everyone with not being able to finish it before the deadline, I strongly suggest that you rent the movie out and read the book.

Okay so in this blog I am going to tell you about this time when Jai was surfing out at "dunny bowl" when he saw a guy with his boards and bags sitting on the sand, when Jai finished his surf it was pissing down with rain and Jai asked the guy what he was doing, and the guy said he didn't have anywhere to go, so being the guy Jai is he asked if the guy wanted to come stay at his place for a few nights.

After a few nights this guy Estuban went back home and he said to Jai, if you ever need a place to stay in Basque your welcome, so he gave Jai his number and off he went. So a couple of years later Jai and his girlfriend went to Spain. On the trip Jai and his girlfriend broke up and he was stranded in Spain with hardly any money and no where to stay, and suddenly it hits him.

so he calls his mate Estuban and tells him whats happend. so Jai end up in this estuban guys massive house and what a coincidence that there are going to be some pretty sick waves in the days to come.

I will be doing my last blog tomorrow morning:)

Today I am going to be giving you an overview of the book and how much i enjoyed it.

I am really positive that I am not going to finish the book in time because i still have a fair bit to go but I promise to you that I will keep reading till' I finish it:)

Okay so Sunny Jai and Koby are three brothers all with different dads but the same mum, they were brought up in New Zealand by their mother, when Sunny was 3 they mover in with "ma" which is sort of like their foster mum, who lives in Marlboro.
After a while they moved in with "ma" to escape from all theirs mums bad habits with drugs and what not.

By the time all the boys are old enough and pretty good surfers they all go away and do their own thing chasing their own dreams.

In the blog I do tonight i will tell you how all the boys end up and how well they are going on with their lives.

kobys regrets

Today im going to tell you about a stor from Koby.

So koby was in the middle of his crave of big wave surfing, and he just bought a ticked to the bottom of tasmania for one of the bigest and secret big waves in Australia.

So they get to tassie and the weather is horrible so they wait two days till the stoms clear, and on the 2nd day koby gets a call from hios mate dean morrison saying the surf is pumping in kirra and its only going to get bigger. So koby gets a ticket to kirra and he is down there that day.

Koby woke up the next morning in the golodcoast and kirra is flat,(only 4 foot).

later that night he gets a call from his mate marky who was with him in tassie and he just said " you will never believe what we surfed today"

koby just replie with a get........stuffed.... thinking he is joking but he e-mailed him a photo of the biggest barrels koby has ever seen.

koby felt sick, he said that the only time he has ever felt like that was when he lost 20k in vegas.

When I got home from footy training i read a bit of my book:)

The bit I am going to tell you about this time is when sunny and all his mates go to hammerhead. Hammerhead is a big cliff, and there is a few different levels, there is a 20ft drop, 50 ft drop and a 100ft drop. Its not deep there, you can touch the bottom. One time they took their mate billy up there, and he looks of the 100ft cliff and walks back and runs up and does a huge backflip of the cliff.

from that day on, he was a legend...says Sunny

Okay so I haven’t been going to good with my posts or with my reading, and i really don’t think I can read 243 pages in two days. If I don’t end up reading the 243 pages in two days I will promise to keep reading till I finish the book.

Okay so again I will tell you a part in the story what I found interesting.....

So koby is telling us about one time at pipeline and he was surfing at the first reef break and he noticed a guy laying on his body board out at the third reef break, and no one surfs out at the third reef break. As the day goes on koby catches his wave in, and he noticed that there is a body board on shore and the guy that he saw out at 3rds was nowhere to be seen. Koby paddles back out and see's a body lying on the reef at 2dns, so he quickly pulls up his body on his board, and lays him down on his board. When they get back to shore layed him down and started giving him mouth to mouth, after a few minutes "clubbies" come down and help koby out. Turns out he has been dear for a couple of days.

Later that day koby is at home and gets a call from the "clubbies", the guy on the phone says,
"Koby are you sitting down?"
“Yeah why?"
“koby the guy you gave mouth to mouth to has AIDS"
Koby realises that he had sucked in about 5 litres of AIDS water.
The next day koby went to the doctors to get an AIDS test to see if he has AIDS and turns out he ......... doesn’t have AIDS.

230/ 490

Okay so far i have read 230 pages out of 490. I think its pretty good for me because it the most i have ever read in my life!
I'm going to tell you a little bit about what i read last night. Okay so there is this one bit in the book where koby and his mates were in the stage of getting their tattoos, saying " bra boys" but the boys didn't want to be a gang, they wanted to be a brotherhood. there was about 10 of them getting tattoos and koby went 3rd, and he got the biggest tattoo out of all of them and by the stage of number 10 kobys was one of the smallest.

Koby and his mates didn't want to show of their tattoos because they didn't want to be know as "homies" like the guys that came up to fight them.
So the boys all ways coverd up their tattoos and made sure they did not get the name of "homies".

I will keep you updated with the posts i have been a bit slack the last week so hopefully i will post every second day.

Bra Boys Trailer

This is the bra boys trailer, it gives you a quick show of what the movie is about. I strongly suggest if you have been following my posts to go to the video store and hire it out and watch it, it is really worth your money. When I first watched it it was a real buzz for me, I thought that these guys were mad fighting everyday and surfing 3 times a day. I am hoping to get the DVD out this weekend and watch it again. It really gives you an inside to their life and how they lived.

Okay so this is my second blog and I'm going to tell you guys a bit more about the book:)

Sunny Jai and Koby get into more detail as they get into the book, they tell you more and more about their lives and how they were raised and how they were brought up. the boys tell the reader how they go away on surfing trips and one time they went to

France and sunny is telling us how he went our for a surf and he got dropped in on( cut of in the wave) and they started to argue about who dropped in on who and the french guy said to sunny.

They started to agrue a big more and the french guy swung at sunny and he managed to dodge the punch and sunny somehow managed to kick him in the neck and kick him of his board. the french guy tried to stab him in the face with the nose of the board, and it has missed him by an inch.... and sunny just said *@#$ you mate and sunny has just got him with a big king hit under his eye and his whole head just split open. that was it. he said "I keeeeeeeeellllll youuuu!!!!!"

Sunnies mate bunter paddled over and the french guy paddled away up to shore while screaming. " I'm going to KEEEEELLLLLLL YOUUUU Aussies! you wait here your DEAAAAD"

After their surf bunter and sunny get to their car and it is all smashed up. they know its the local french guys.

They thought the french guy would leave him alone now because they smashed his car but they were wrong but withing 5 seconds of him getting into the car they heard a car roaring towards them, but it wasn't just one car it was 3 with about 15 guys in total hanging out the sides with heavy chains and baseball bats, they were screaming " alleeeezzzzzz ii keeeeelllllllllll youuuuuuu!!!!!!!!" at this stage they all knew it was all real.

The car rammed them from behind.. boom boom, they hit them again it turned into a full car chase, they were going through all the alleyways and backstreets and were fanging it through the red lights. by this stage they lost one car, so they thought that they will go to where the surf contest was held that way they will have at least 20 guys to back them up. they were flying down the highway and roaring through roundabouts and red lights. They got back into the alleyways and thought that they would take a shortcut but instead ran into the car so they crashed into the fence of someones house and came to a stop. they all bailed out the car and all made a run for it.

I'm not going to tell you what happens next, so you will have to go and get the book out at the library if you want to know the rest.

Hi everyone,

I'm doing my blog on the book "THE OFFICIAL BRA BOYS STORY" I first started the book at the start of the two week holidays just gone, I’m up to page 165 which is pretty good for me because the only book I have only finished a couple of picture books in my life:)

For anyone who has see the movie "Bra Boys" I suggest that you read this book because it goes into so much more detail then in the movie. It gives you the insights to everything that didn't happen in the movie.

Now ill tell you about what I have read so far. Well the book is written by three "brothers" jai, sunny and koby, they each take turn talking about a little chapter of their lives.
The first couple of chapters sunny jai and koby just started to talk about their lives and how they were brought up.

Sunny, Jai and Koby were all brought up pretty rough all having different dads but the same mum, they swapped between "ma and pa's" house and their actual mums house.

The three boys were raised up by not only their mother but also by the older boys on the beach. The older boys were a huge influence on them because they brought them up to stay away from drugs and all the bad stuff that was going around maulbra at the time. Sunny jai and koby are mad surfers, they skipped school to go surfing and just mucked around all day in the streets, the three boys would surf three times a day, by this age they were only 8,10 and 12.
The boys split up into an older and younger group. The young kids were not allowed with the older guys because they thought they would just annoy them, so the young kids made their own gang called "ma's devils"
